Nearly 500 cyclists, including many from Associated Clubs of the Major Taylor Association, pedaled the route of the 1965 Selma to Montgomery Voters Rights March to commemorate the 55th anniversary. Organizers from the Montgomery Bicycle Club encouraged riders on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, to stop and see the sights on the Montgomery National Historic Trail, envision the civil rights march, feel the tension, cross the famous Edmund Pettus Bridge, follow the paths of the foot soldiers, and end in triumph.
