July 17-18, 2022 International Cycling History Conference Indianapolis

The 31st International Cycling History Conference had two evening events open to the community, on July 17 and 18, 2022, at the Indiana War Memorial in Indianapolis. Sunday's Opening Night featured Tiffany Benedict Browne's keynote, "Indianapolis and the Wheel." On Monday, Major Taylor Nite presentations included "A Conversation With Major Taylor" staged by the Indiana Historical Society's Museum Theater Department, Julia Moore of the Indy Arts Council speaking about the new Major Taylor mural in Indianapolis, and Kisha Tandy of the Indiana State Museum discussing highlights of the museum's current exhibit on Major Taylor, on view through Oct. 23. In addition, Lynne Tolman, president of the Major Taylor Association, recapped her conference presentation on Major Taylor's letters to Ben Walker.
